Musicians Sajid-Wajid convince actor Salman Khan to give them the entire album of Dabanng 2

Music director duo Sajid- Wajid has secured a special place in actor Salman Khan’s camp. Being close to Bhai also has its perks, one of them being getting to work outside Salman’s (family) banner. The duo is re-composing the tunes of filmmaker Yash Chopra’s Ek Tha Tiger. But that’s not all. Recently, the duo also managed to convince Bhai, to let them do the entire score for Dabangg2. A source close to the composers said, “Salman loves Sajid-Wajid’s work. In fact he was the one who gave them the much needed break in their careers in the film Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. After that, there has been no looking back for the two. But they were upset a while ago because in spite of doing the entire music album of Dabanng, music director Lalit Pandit took away all the attention for his one song Munni.” So, this time when the duo started work on Dabangg 2’s music, the two apparently planned to convince Bhai to allow them to do all the tracks of the film including the item number with actor Kareena Kapoor. “It is one of the rare occasions in Bollywood that the entire music album of a film is ready even before the film’s shoot has commenced. In fact, when Sajid-Wajid went to Bhai with a few tracks like Pandeyji seeeti maare, Salman just loved the tracks and instantly okayed them. This is when they also suggested that they should work on all tracks of the film including the item song that will wash away Munni from audiences’ memory. Salman has apparently given a green signal to the idea,” adds the source.
