    After months of hard work and choosing 27 winners from participating 4.9 lakh children across different age groups, Max Life Insurance announced the winners of the third edition of Igenius Scholarship awards in the capital this week.
    The scholarship programme saw the insurance company giving out scholarships worth 1.1 crore, including two top scholarships of 10 lakh each. Swarali Chodnekar from Mumbai won 10 lakh in the senior category (Classes 6 to 8), while Delhi girl Hiya Chowdhury, bagged 10 lakh in the junior category (Classes 3 to 5). At the award ceremony, Rajesh Sud, CEO and managing director, Max Life, said, “Igenius Scholarship awards children who display brilliance in both academics and extracurricular activities to promote all-round develop
ment in the child, and the success of this programme is a testimony to our belief that young parents are increasingly looking to promote multi-dimensional development beyond academics for their children.”
    The company also launched the Igenius Young Authors’ Hunt. Anisha Motwani, director and chief marketing officer, Max Life Insurance, said, “It is not easy for children to find publishing h o u s e s
who will print their stories. The authors’ hunt provides that opportunity and also encourages youngsters to take up the art of story-telling.” Chetan Bhagat, who was present as a jury member, said that it would be interesting to track where these kids have reached after 10 years.
