Wordsmiths win
Witty question-answer rounds, talented singers and an ‘item boy’ steal the show at Clean & Clear Bombay Times Fresh Face 2012 contest in N M College
The talent at N M College got better every passing minute. It left actress and celebrity judge Sameera Reddy so spellbound, she said she would love to return to the college. “It is really hard to choose winners among you,” she said. The actress even matched steps with Sahil Joshi, the ‘item boy’ of the college, to Chikni Chameli and took the auditorium by storm.
Professional actor Smit Seth, who has been nominated eight times for films and tele-serials, impressed everyone by rendering a serious dialogue. While aspiring fashion designer Sarita Mani said she hoped to have Sameera as her showstopper some day, Sanika Purohit, whose dream is to be a choreographer, floored everyone with her graceful Kathak performance
Akshat Shah’s witty response made him the winner. When asked who he would chose — Sonakshi Sinha, with her voluptuous Indian figure, or Deepika Padukone, with an hourglass figure — Akshat replied, “Meats are for the man and bones are for the dog.” Anupama Sharma, the winner among girls, showed her presence of mind when asked what she would do if she woke up as Rakhi Sawant one morning. “I will sound politically correct if I said that I would go back to sleep. I would rather enjoy her popularity and attend parties with the rich and the famous,” said Anupama.
Unnati Shah and Chiranjiv Rajan, who won hearts with their crooning, were declared the first runners-up.
1st Runners-up: Unnati Shah and Chiranjiv Rajan
