    Lekha Washington, who made her filmi debut in the South, has turned product designer. The actress tells us that she has graduated with a degree in product designing and has been practising it for almost a decade. But, since she has never spoken publicly about it, most people do not know this side of her personality. And now, with the actress’ first line of lifestyle products being launched in the city, she is ready to talk about it. “I have created a line of high-end lifestyle offerings like furniture and products for living spaces. They are quite unconventional and I have also got the designs patented. I call them odd because they are really quirky.”
    Even though Washington concedes that she is considering product designing as a parallel career, but that doesn’t mean that she is not focusing on Bollywood.
    After having recently shot an ad for a telecommunication company with South star Surya, the actress is now busy preparing for her role in Rajkumar Santoshi’s next. Even though she doesn’t divulge anything about her character, she says, “I started a film called Power, but it’s on hold for a while. I am starting another movie with him now in January or February.”
    She will also shoot for a Tamil film by the end of this year. But, at the moment, it’s her range of unconventional furniture that has all her attention.
