Priyanka unveils trophy for public’s choice awards
When it came to launching an international awards in India, Priyanka Chopra, who went international with her debut single as a singer, was chosen to do the honours. Colors announced the launch of the People’s Choice Awards (PCA) making India the first country outside the US to host its own version of PCA that is scheduled for October 27. At the event, Priyanka, who will also perform on the awards night, joked that PCA could also be called Priyanka Chopra Awards, her initials being PC. Based on public voting, the awards honour entertainers across categories like movies, music, television and sports.
Ayushmann Khurrana
will take on as the host for the awards. Raj Nayak, CEO, Colors and Deepa Vaidyanathan, Head-Brand Communications, P&G were also present here.
