My kids, my way!
Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations have been special for actor Raveena Tandon who gets the Ganesha idol home each year
Actor Raveena Tandon was last seen on the big screen in a special number in Bbudah Hoga Tera Baap. While the actor does say that she is open to doing films, her kids are where her priorities lie. Though the actor has been seen on screen very little in the last couple of years, she says she wouldn't have had it any other way. "My kids are my priority. I have had my time and I am happy about it but I would never ever regret that I didn't do films after my children were born. I feel immense satisfaction in being a mother and I would have it no other way," she states emphatically.
Raveena says she is a hands on mother and does everything with her kids, right from playing with them to dropping them to school to doing their homework. Likewise, this year she decided to take her kids help in helping her prepare for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at home. The actor gets home the Ganesha idol home each year and though her kids were too small to understand the importance of the festival, this year she made sure she told her kids what the festival was all about. A source close to the actor says, "Recently for Ganesh Chaturthi, Raveena like every year bought a beautiful idol of Ganpati. But this time, now that the kids are old enough to understand facts, she made them bring in the idol home and do the pooja along with her. She taught them a bhajan too. And the kids – Rasha and Ranbir were excited to sit beside their mom and experience the rituals."
Though she has a filmy connection, she prefers to keep her kids completely grounded to their roots. The kids have a starry life but she makes sure that they don't take anything for granted. She tweeted, "The 1st morning brought my sweet lil ganpati home! Hectic making prasad, decorating his pandal, the Kids and friends over, loud peppy Bhajans!"
