Mick Jagger may go missing

Musician might not be able to attend the music festival hosted by Jodhpur royal, Gaj Singh

Musician Mick Jagger might not be able to attend the upcoming Jodhpur International Folk Festival (RIFF) of which he is the chief patron along with Maharaja Gaj Singh from the erstwhile royal family of Jodhpur.
"We are yet to be informed if Mick Jagger will be attending the festival. If he comes, he comes as a patron and friend to support the festival which he believes in and enjoys," says Singh.
Jagger, of late, has been busy promoting his new band, which also includes Indian musician AR Rahman.
"We'll be very happy when he makes it and are always ready to receive him at Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur," he adds.
But even though Mick Jagger doesn't perform at the festival, there's an interesting line-up for the festival, informs Singh. "We have some interesting and varied music from across the world... The Band of Brothers from Australia, amongst the best instrumentalists from Down Under. Davy Sicard, the incredible voice from the Reunion Island. And there is Ani Choying from Nepal and Yuri Honing from the Netherlands. And of course, Jason Singh from the UK and Rupa and April Fishes from San Francisco (Artist of the Year 2010, Songlines magazine) will be permorming," he says, adding that best part of the festival is the participation of his son Shivraj, the former poster boy from Rajasthan, who recently got married in true royal style.
" We are all extremely happy for Shivraj and our daughter-in-law and look forward to their joining us. The family has and will always be an integral part of the development of RIFF. It is a special occasion for us all and with Shivraj now married, it will be even more special. As in previous years, we will try to attend every performance that we can and enjoy the festival with our friends and fellow audience members," he ends.
