Neck-deep
Hundreds gathered recently at Bidar Fort armed with binoculars to catch a glimpse of actor Vidya Balan's cleavage!
As soon as the word got out that actor Vidya Balan would be wearing cleavage baring outfits for her shoot, at least a thousand people scaled the 30-feet-high walls of the Bidar Fort near Hyderabad to catch a glimpse of the actor display her cleavage. The police were called in, but they too had a tough time getting the crowds to retreat, of which many had come armed with binoculars and zoom lenses to catch a glimpse of Vidya.
"Vidya has always been seen wearing ethnic clothes and she is somebody who would never bare her cleavage. But as soon as the word got out that Vidya is wearing cleavage-baring cholis during the shoot, people swelled around the shooting venue. Some of them were trying to record the proceedings on their mobile phone too," says a source.
The filmmakers had the presence of mind to call in the police and the members of the Archeological Survey Of India were also there (since the shoot was happening at a heritage site and the presence of the members ensured that the site was not vandalised during shooting), but unfortunately they seemed a little inadequate to control the crowd.
"Thousands gathered to catch a glimpse of the leads of The Dirty Picture, Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi. The crowds comprising mostly of the youth climbed atop the 30-feet-high walls of the Diwan-e-Khas inside the fort, to get a glimpse of the action taking place inside the royal enclosure. Security was upped as the police and the staff of the Archaeological Survey of India had a tough time controlling the crowd," says a statement.
However, Vidya didn't arrive on time and came for the shooting only by afternoon, dressed in a deep cleavage baring choli with the saree draped around her waist.
"A major portion of a song is being filmed in the Bidar Fort with Diwan-e-Khas and Diwan-e-Aam in the background. The crowds cheered on as Emraan arrived at the spot in the morning. People had to wait for hours to see Vidya. She arrived later in the afternoon. By then local security had to be upped since the number of people visiting doubled by the hour," adds the statement.
