Actor Ranbir Kapoor will be working all through the day on his birthday today
Actor Ranbir Kapoor, who turns 29 today, has decided to begin the year on a good note — and that's by working throughout the day.
The young actor, who's been linked to many of his co-stars in the past year, has decided to put all that behind him and concentrate on his films at hand. What better way to begin than on one's birthday. Ranbir is going to be on the sets all day long shooting for Anurag Basu's Barfee in Andheri with actor Priyanka Chopra.
Ranbir has been shooting non-stop for the past couple of months, and has no plans of taking a break. Says a source close to the actor, "After Rockstar, he instantly started shooting for Barfee as he had already allotted dates for the same. Had he asked for a day off on his birthday, Anurag wouldn't have refused, considering his dedication to work, but Ranbir chose to work on the day as that is what he wishes to do all year long. He is very serious about his work, and it's his priority now."
As soon as the crew realised that Ranbir was going to be at work, they decided to plan a surprise bash for him. The source adds, "We have decided to surprise him by bringing in his birthday on the sets. A surprise bash is being planned and he has no idea we have organised a small party to celebrate."
Ranbir, who's very close to his mother, former actor Neetu Kapoor, spends the day with her on most of his birthdays. This is one time of the year, the duo indulge in some heavy-duty mother-son bonding. In the evening he then plans to catch-up with his friends for either dinner or go out partying with them.
