'I've asked Priyanka for a playlist'
…says actor Shah Rukh Khan, who's learning to cook and wants to sing as well
Guess what superstar Shah Rukh Khan's biggest regret is? Not being able to sing.
"It's my greatest want in life…I wish I could sing," says King Khan. But the actor seems to have started to work on it already and is seeking help from close pals — actor Priyanka Chopra and filmmaker/actor Farhan Akhtar to keep him updated on the same. "I have asked all my friends – Priyanka (Chopra), Farhan (Akhtar) and Arun, who does my make-up and hair… I said 'guys can you please give me some new music.' They are now making a mix for me in an iPod," says Shah Rukh. "This will help me understand what my kids are listening to, my daughter particularly."
While the track Chamak Challo from his upcoming film is creating a rage in the market, Shah Rukh maintains he listens to it when it is playing on his radio car. "My directors tell me that Shah Rukh when you lipsync a song, it kind of feels good…and get me to lipsync even if the song does not require it. Dildara is one of those song that the director forced me to lipsync," he says.
The actor reveals that he's let go off interesting offers because of his inability to sing. "Like when I was asked by (musician) Andrew Lloyd Webber to do a show with him in London. 'I'll teach you how to sing', he told me. But I know I can't sing (smiles). I tried it once in Josh with Apun bola tu meri Laila…"
But one thing he definitely makes sure to take time out from his hectic schedule is to cook. "I'm beginning to learn how to cook Italian food. And I'd love to cook for my kids. My mom and dad were great cooks…We had restaurants. So it's high time I learn cooking too," he dimples adding, "I make fantastic omelette though!
