Ask Hollywood actor Matt Damon about India, and he's quick to say that the one time he visited India was not enough for him. Yes, Matt wants to visit India at length to get to know the country better.
"I've been to India for a very short trip, but would love to visit the country in length," he says recalling the time he shot for a portion of Bourne Supremacy in Goa (2009). Matt reveals that he already has an association with India, albeit for a cause through an NGO. "I am associated with a cause in India that aims to raise awareness about clean water initiatives," informs the Hollywood star.
Would his next trip to India include a trip to Bollywood as well? "I have watched a couple of Bollywood movies which I believe are very entertaining. I would love to experiment in one! And I am sure it will get more entertaining," writes back the star in an email interview. Ask him about the most outrageous thing that he's ever done and he says, "I have just gone bald for my film Contagion! And I am loving it!" said Matt.
Stating the film premise needed him to bald, he elaborates, "The movies about the outbreak of a super virus. I play a guy who's been out of work for a while and his only surviving family member is his 15- year-old daughter. Through the whole film I'm trying to shepherd her through the horrible outbreak as I had survived the virus once."
At this stage of his career as a successful actor, does Matt have any plans to direct a film? "Eventually, I would love to direct someday, but at present I am enjoying my acting," he says.
