Operation successful!

The nearly five-hour-long operation on actor Salman Khan at a LA hospital was successful, says family

A member of the Khan family confirmed that the neurological surgery of actor Salman Khan was successful and that he is now recovering at the neurological facility in Los Angeles. Khan was briefly shifted to ICU following the surgery and then transferred into a cabin.
"The operation is successful and he is resting. We are all there with him and he is doing just fine," said the family member. Family members who've been with the actor throughout the surgery are sister Alvira, and brothers Sohial and Arbaaz.
Salman was suffering from a neurological condition called trigeminal neuralgia, which was causing acute pain in his head, cheeks and jaw for almost six years.
"The operation procedure involved using a coil to remove some blockages inside Salman's mouth. The operation lasted for four and half hours," informs the family member.
The actor, who'll continue to be under medication, is expected back in India by next week. "He should be okay to travel in about 10 days. After that he'll decide whether he wants to go for a holiday or resume work. We strongly feel that he should take a holiday before resuming work," the family member added.
