Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett to do jazz album!
No, this is not a practical joke. After being on the receiving end of negative comments by Madonna, smoking marijuana on stage in Amsterdam and piling on the pounds to look rather portly, here’s another shocker. Lady Gaga, known for her garish taste in fashion, now seems to be seeking some oldschool cred. She is going to team up with Tony Bennett (after doing a duet with him last year on The Lady Is A Tramp). Tony told a US music magazine that this was actually the pop singer’s initiative. “Of all things, she called me from New Zealand and said, ‘I want to do a jazz album with you and I said, ‘You got it!’ So that’s one of the
things we’re gonna do.

with Marion Evans, a big swing band, and I’m looking forward to it because a lot of people don’t know that she’s a phenomenal jazz singer. I can’t mention the composer because I don’t want anybody to do it before us, but there’s a great composer that’s very underrated, very famous, but not as famous as Gershwin or Porter. But he did as many hit songs as anybody, and so we’re gonna do a big swinging album,” said Bennett.
