Marathi actors charge 80,000 to 3 lakhs for dahi handi celebrations

There’s a growing demand for Marathi actors this Janmashtami. Making most of it, the actors are going in for multiple appearances for the dahi handi celebrations today. According to organisers, Bollywood actors participating in the dahi handi celebrations has always been a huge attraction for the masses. This year round though, the mandals have been especially keen on having popular Marathi actors. “To ensure availability of actors, the planning was done much in advance. With the compensation brackets ranging anywhere between 50,000 to 3 lakh, their remuneration is quite high,” said Vinod Satav, an event organiser.
Sources inform that the most sought after film actresses for the celebrations include Sai Tamhankar, Shruti Marathe and Mansi Naik while Ankush Choudhary and Swwapnil Joshi are riding highest on the popularity meter amongst male actors. From television, it’s actors Shivani Surve, Jui Gadkari, Mrunal Dusanis and Sangram Salvi.

• Sai Tamhankar: 75,000 per location
• Kranti Redkar: 80,000
