Satyagraha is the sequel to Raajneeti

Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha is a sequel to his superhit Raajneeti. The filmmaker told us, “Raajneeti was a family drama about betrayal. Satyagraha is based on the conflict between a father and son, against the backdrop of the political manoeuvring by Manoj Bajpayee’s character. It’s about modern-day politics and protests.”
Jha further revealed that Satyagraha, much like Raajneeti, is about a sense of betrayal, family drama, personal conflicts, egos and modern-day political texture. Said he, “It’s a modern-day rajneeti.”
We have also learnt that Jha’s next will be a sequel to Satyagraha and will be more about conventional politics. We will have to wait and watch to see how that one pans out.
Satyagraha, produced by Prakash Jha Productions and UTV Motion Pictures, releases August 30.
