RUSSELL PETERS RETURNS TO INDIA
International stand-up comic Russell Peters returns to India for a four-city tour as part of his ongoing world tour, come October. For a man who thrives on being “disliked”, he famously slammed Bollywood while promoting Speedy Singhs in 2011 saying he’d a never watch a Hindi film. He famously said, “I don’t need to taste sh*t to know I don’t like it”. As one of the world’s most popular stand-up comics of Indian origin, Russell Peters has made a habit of making fun of his Indianness. Since shooting to fame in 2004, he has remained a comic phenomenon by playing out ethnic, social and cultural stereotypes in his comedy routine. One can safely expect that “somebody gonna get a hurt real bad!”.
