This launch event in Kochi got to witness a combination of the best names in fashion and styling

    Kochi got a dose of high fashion
recently, with top names in hair, beauty and fashion, all coming together in a glitzy show. The event, a celebration of the launch of Ambika Pillai’s first salon in Kerala, was presented by L’Oreal Professionnel, her partner for more than a decade. The main attraction of the evening was a show by Rohit Bal, where he unveiled his collection titled MULMUL. Sushmita Sen, as the showstopper, stunned everyone when she walked the ramp in a hand-crafted ensemble with traditional and timeless art forms of embroidery and surface ornamentation. The show also saw India’s some of India’s top models including Carol Gracias, Noyonika Chatterjee, Sapna Kumar and also Keralite Joey Mathew, walking the ramp sporting the collection fit for royalty. Also present at the event was singerentertainer Usha Uthup, who lent her own touch to the goings on.
    The Parisian House of hairdressing has worked closely with Ambika Pillai at each of her seven salons in Delhi and NCR over the past 15 years. The Kochi salon is the latest addition to her chain. The salon brings modern hairdressing to Kerala and ensures that the team’s experience will enable customers get exactly what they want in the hair and make-up department.
    Commenting on their association with the salon chain, Aseem Kaushik, Director L’Oreal Professionnel India, said, “We are very happy as, India’s iconic hairdressing and make-up brand ‘ambikapillai’ arrives in Kochi. The salon launch was as always in her signature style, with fashion fraternity from across the country present in full strength.”
