Will it be Chameli or Mauja Mauja?
Actor Kareena Kapoor's wax statue at Madame Tussauds may sport one of the looks from her three films
Actor Kareena Kapoor who is currently busy with the promotions of her forthcoming film Ra.One will have her wax statue revealed at Madame Tussauds at the end of this month. Designer Manish Malhotra, who was in charge of designing the outfit for Kareena's wax statue, reveals the three looks that have been sent to Madame Tussauds. "We have sent three looks or outfits to them. Out of which one will be selected. The three looks are the Chameli look, Mauja Mauja look from Jab We Met and Kehdo Na look from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham," says Manish.
"Madame Tussauds usually looks for a particular film in which the actor had a lot of impact and is most iconic," he adds. Surprisingly, most of Kareena's special song sequences have been in red outfits. Manish laughs, "Yeah it's strange. Recently, I actually pointed out Kareena that her superhit songs have mostly been picturised on her wearing red dress. But, she loves the colour red, so it works." Manish, who has been designing for Kareena for 11 years now, says, "It has been a long association. I feel proud of myself." The designer has no time to breathe, as he gears up for a fashion show with Priyanka Chopra the show stopper, on Saturday.
