MUNISHA KHATWANI

NAME: MUNISHA KHATWANI

I BELIEVE: In Lord Ram and the law of karma. What goes around comes around, you can’t escape your karma. I also live by stars and planets and firmly believe that whatever is in your stars and planets will happen, no matter what. I always say, if it’s destined to be, it will be. Nothing and no one can alter your destiny. And if something doesn’t work out, then it’s just not meant to be.
MY LUCKY CHARM IS: A small Hanuman yantra. I always keep it in my wallet and feel blessed. I believe that as long as it is there, nothing bad can happen to me.
I AM SUPERSTITIOUS ABOUT: My copy of Ramayan. If it falls or a page tears, I get really upset. So, I have a couple of copies and I swear by them. I am also superstitious about not doing anything very auspicious at night, since I feel the energies are not right at that hour.

WEIRDEST THING I HAVE HEARD WHEN IT COMES TO SUPERSTITIONS: People often ask me that if number eight can be lucky for the Chinese, why is it not the same for Hindus? Each religion is different — this is what I explain to them. Also, many people think that if they paint the walls of their house red, misfortune will follow them.
