Pineapple juice is good for a cold
Pineapple is great to consume, especially when we are struck with a cold. That’s because the fruit has an enzyme called Bromelain. This enzyme is effective when it comes to reducing body aches and pains. Usually, when we get cold, we also tend to get a sore throat and d r i n k i n g pineapple juice will soothe and heal it.
Bromelain has anti-inflammatory properties that help in killing bacteria that cause infections. The congested mucous gets thinner due to the juice and this makes it easier to to expel it from the body.
Last but not the least, pineapple is loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants. Vitamin C helps build the immunity. In fact, it is said that one cup of pineapple juice provides enough of vitamin C percentage required in a day.
