IAF clearance for Shahid's Mausam

The Indian Air Force (IAF) cleared the way for the release of Shahid Kapoor-starrer Mausam just a week before its scheduled release on September 16. The producer, Sheetal Talwar, organised a special screening of the film for the IAF brass on Wednesday as it had objections over some actions scenes in the film. Shahid plays the role of an IAF fighter pilot in the movie.
Though the IAF refused to explain its objection, its spokesperson Wing Commander Gerard Galway maintained the change they had sought was minor. "After watching the movie, we had suggested minor observations, which the producer agreed to incorporate. There is no objection from the IAF," he told DNA.
"We were only concerned about a shot of about 30 seconds. From the IAF aspect, it was over dramatised and we only want it tone it down," Galway added.
The air force had held back its no objection certificate (NOC) until the producers make the changes they had sought. An NoC from the IAF is required for the censor board certificate.
