It's a laugh riot!
This weekend, brace yourself for famous international comedians to tickle your funny bone
Recently, Mumbai has seen a sudden rise in stand-up comedy acts. Be it our desi comic or the international ones, Mumbai has just become the comedy hub of India. Continuing the laugh riot, this weekend three international comic giants will perform in town. Count the extremely brazen Mandy Knight, the intuitive and opinionated Dave Fulton and the witty Craig Campbell in the line-up at the Comedy Store. Expect some international humour as a few of the world's top stand-ups regale you with their uproarious brand of humour. Comedian Dave Fulton, described as a slick and insightful person, says, "I have worked with a few Indian stand-up comics and they are pretty good. Most of my act will be on personal opinions and social disbeliefs. I bought an old Acme bicycle and I've been riding it all over town. It's great! I'm just hoping no one runs me over!" Craig Campbell, a popular comic and a really funny man off stage too, says, "Most international audiences aren't all Indian, but thankfully there's almost always some Indian folks in any international audience because you guys are everywhere! I love performing here because of Mumbai's diversity and tolerance — two great things that are great for comedy."
Last but not the least is Mandy Knight, a fully trained classical actress who decided to work in stand up comedy, says, "I have performed with Ash Chandler on my last visit here and he was amazing both on and off stage and he taught me Hindi gaalis!" Mandy, who has performed in Mumbai earlier, commented on the Indian audience saying, "The Indian audience is very much like the British audience except that they are educated!"
