Get, set, dive!
On a recent trip to Greece, actor Mrinalini Sharma completed her training in scuba diving and is now a certified diver
Babes and beaches are surely a deadly combo especially if the actress is a hot babe who's trying to do some adventure sports. Recently actor Katrina Kaif showed her sporty side as she learnt the tricks of scuba diving for her role as the diving instructor in the film Zindagi na milegi Dobara. However it seems that actor Mrinalini Sharma seemed determined to go higher than Kaif on this front. As Mrinalini not just learnt to scuba dive but also completed her training and is now a Padi certified scuba diver.
Talking about it, Mrinalini says, "All my life I've wondered about the mystical world of aquatic life. Whenever I saw movies with scuba sequences or friends talk about diving I used to feel that it's too difficult and risky, especially for someone like me who can barely swim. However when I went to Greece this time on a small vacation, I took a brief opportunity to learn the art of scuba diving. Though I can hardly swim, I went ahead and opted for the course as I felt that this kind of opportunity was too good to pass. And today I'm glad I took it up as it opened up a whole new world to me which is beautiful, tranquil, serene and almost spiritual."
Back in India, Mrinalini can't help but gloat about the fact that now she is a PADI certified scuba diver. An industry insider adds, "Usually for actresses' vacations are more about spa sessions, exotic food and luxury shopping. But Mrinalini's holiday in Greece is so unlike her colleagues. As she extended her holiday by a week, and not to shop or relax, but to learn scuba diving and gain expertise. Guess, actresses will soon be giving a tough fight to actors in action sequences too."
