Ready for a 'kiddie' party?!
The city is abuzz with fun-filled games, workshops brunches and more, to make Children's Day tomorrow special for kids
Children's Day is tomorrow and the city is gearing up to enthrall tiny tots beginning today. For those who want to know what's in store here's a glimpse...
There's a kiddie expo on today, where among the activities scheduled are kids and parent workshops, make-n-bake sessions and kiddie camps. It's called Kids Central taking place at World Trade Centre. Toral Shah Kabra, founder member, says, "Children can see a magic show, learn pottery or even get pampered with a spa session. There will be stalls for kiddie stuff too."
Meanwhile, Crossword stores in Malad and Kemps Corner have some really cool activities in store for kids today. "The theme is Dr Seuss, whose books are quite a favourite with most kids. We'll do story reading sessions and fun party games," says a spokesperson from the bookstore chain.
Several restaurants in the city have arranged special brunches to celebrate the day. Faiek El Saadani, Director of Food and Beverages, JW Marriott says, "Our chef has created a special menu keeping in mind favourites such as flavoured popcorn at the candy store along with muffins and sweets. There are a host of games like face painting, balloon creations, video games, with famous cartoon mascots and clowns to entertain our little guests."
At Manchester United Cafe Bar, Lower Parel, kids can get a Red Devil tattoo done by professional tattoo artists. There are also free brownies with ice-cream available! If you still can't find that perfect gift, fret not. Gift them some homemade chocolates from the several homemade chocolate stores across the city. You could even indulge your babies with gold and diamond jewellery from big brands specially for the occasion. Or plan a day out with Eric and Mumble from Happy Feet at High Street Phoenix. If none of these appeal to you, there's the simplest option. Make use of the holiday before Children's Day — just cuddle up to your kiddo at home today, to watch their favourite cartoon shows and special films being screened on TV!
