With Children's Day coming soon, the Children's Film Society India (CFSI) has come up with a unique film festival being held on November 12, 13 and 14. The festival invites children to enjoy their weekend with their friends and family watching interesting films combined with adventure, fun and learning.
The festival will feature films varying from animated to regular ones. These films touch upon various aspects like the importance of good over evil, aspirations of a young child, history of regions across India and others. While some movies end with action-filled climax, others educate the children on importance of values.
Sunil Balakrishnan, marketing head of CFSI says, "CFSI has always endeavoured to promote, strengthen and encourage the children's film movement in the country. The vowed objective of the society is to undertake and organise production, distribution and exhibition of films for children and provide them with healthy and wholesome entertainment that aims to enhance their knowledge and broaden their prospective." The films that will be screened in the festival are Karamati Coat, Yeh Hai Chakkad Bakkad Bumbe Bo, Lilke, Krish Trish Aur Baltiboy, Sunshine Barry And Discoworms.
Co-organiser of the fest, Nimish Kenia adds, "Considering it was Children's Day, we decided to take a step further and combine the entertainment aspect with significant learning. Through this screening, we look forward to instill creative interest and educate them about values and environment."
