Vivek and Salman’s films win at the same film festival

They might not see each other’s
faces, but actor Salman
Khan’s production Chillar Party
and actor Vivek Oberoi’s
Dekh Indian Circus have won
awards at the 17th International
Childrens’ Film Festival
that recently concluded in Hyderabad.
Vivek’s film had earlier
been voted the best film
at the Busan film festival by
the audience, in the age
group of 16-40 years. Director
Mangesh Hadawale (director
of National Award winning
film Tingya) says, “Busan had
an older audience, as compared
to the young children in
Hyderabad. But after receiving
tremendous response
from both segments, we are
convinced that this film will
be well-received commercially
and win hearts of all agegroups.
1,75,000 kids attended
the festival overall as the
audience and the kind of response
we received from the
children and the members of
the trade fraternity, is heart
warming.”
Says Vivek, “I am so proud
to associate with Dekh Indian
Circus which is making India
and all of us proud.”
